We offer short birdwatching breaks in Norfolk, the New Forest and off the Dorset coast. They are suitable for all types of birders, from beginners to the experienced, and each group is accompanied by one of our expert guides.
We put the emphasis firmly on enjoying the beautiful settings, other wildlife and the food, as well as going in search of a variety of target bird species. This is no birders’ boot camp.
Arguably the UK’s top birding location, our May and November weekends in Norfolk are timed to coincide with peak birding seasons. In spring we focus on waders, summer visitors and passage migrants, while autumn sees huge geese flocks and the arrival of winter visitors such as Snow Bunting and Shorelark.
Our May weekend in the New Forest is all about heathland and woodland birds, and there are some excellent chances to see a variety of reptiles too. We’ll be looking for Honey Buzzards, Dartford Warblers and Nightjars among many other species.
We offer a number of evening trips from Weymouth to see Balearic Shearwaters and European Storm-petrels; full day trips from West Bay further down the coast focus on seabirds and White-beaked Dolphins.
Accommodation on all our trips is in comfortable guesthouses and small hotels; breakfast and an evening meal are included in the price. A two-night break costs just £265 pp.
