Mark and David's verdict

Disneyland Paris has come a long way since it opened its doors in 1992. It now comprises two outstanding theme parks with many new rides and attractions to wow adults and teenagers, as well as younger children. Leisure Direction says

With two world-class theme parks, and a large shopping, dining and entertainment district, Disneyland Paris will keep the whole family delighted and enthralled for two or three whole days.

The original Disneyland Park is the central attraction - it is the home of Peter Pan, Dumbo, Alice, Captain Hook and Indiana Jones. There are classic rides such as Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain: Mission 2 and new features are added regularly. Among the latest is the awesome Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast. It is also here that children are mostly likely to come face to face with their favourite characters such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

The second park, Walt Disney Studios Park, offers a superb selection of rides, shows, attractions, shopping and dining, all themed around the world of cinema, television and entertainment. For those who dare, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is a must-ride.

If you visit Disneyland Paris in 2009 you can also take part in the birthday celebrations at Mickey’s Magical Party, which include a whole raft of new shows and attractions.

To make the most of Disneyland Paris it is worth staying on site. There are seven Disney-themed hotels from downtown Manhattan at Disney’s Hotel New York to the Wild West at Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne. There are also seven specially selected hotels with a free shuttle bus to the parks.

You can now get even more value for money with Disney’s Kids Under 7 Stay and Play Free offer. Book a package to arrive any day during Mickey’s Magical Party and all kids under 7 will get FREE hotel accommodation (in all Disney Hotels and all seven associated hotels) and FREE entrance to both Disney Parks.
