Hoseasons says

As the name suggests, Kielder Water Park sits literally on the shores of Kielder Water, one of the UK’s most spectacular stretches of water. It’s the perfect spot for an active family break in any weather.

Outdoor activities in the area include walking and hiking, cycling trails, fishing, boating and lake cruises. In the park itself, there’s crazy golf, a Birds of Prey Centre, a children’s play area, games room, and even an artificial outdoor ice rink which is open twice-weekly in the school holidays.

The indoor swimming pool and sauna are open year-round and the park is surrounded by pine forest and heather moorland, as well as the lake itself. Within the park, there is a restaurant and bar (open late March to end-October) and a shop with an off-licence.

Accommodation is in comfortable, light and spacious Scandinavian-style timber lodges, scattered throughout the parkland with some located right on the water’s edge. There is a choice of two- and three-bedroom lodges; all come with bed linen and duvets (bring your own towels), a fully-equipped kitchen and TV/DVD. Pets are accepted in some.
