Prestige Holidays says

Just a three hour flight away, Malta is an ideal destination for a short break as it offers year-round sunshine, excellent hotels and plenty to see and do.

Much of the island’s attraction is its historic heritage, and Prestige gives each of its guests complimentary entry to the Malta Experience in Valletta - a 45-minute audio-visual show that illustrates the area’s past. Combine this with a tour of the city visiting sites such as the stunning St John’s Co-Cathedral and its museum, or the National Museum of Fine Arts. Then take in the fabulous views of the Grand Harbour or stop for a spot of shopping or a coffee on Republic Street.

Mdina, the island’s original capital, is well worth a visit. Also known as the Silent City, it is one of Europe’s finest examples of an ancient walled city and offers a delightful mix of medieval and Baroque architecture.

Malta offers both sandy and rocky beaches and secluded bays, plus a thriving nightlife and a great range of restaurants with a distinctly Italian influence. The island also has lots good quality hotels, many with great spas. Prestige recommends Valletta’s five-star Hotel Phoenicia set in seven acres of secluded gardens, for a short break.
